Default easy and quick vtec fix!!

here the DeAlEo my engine is running strong (being a us C5) all beside the fact that v-power isnt engaging I currently have the vafc hooked up and running a p-28 chipped ecu and when my motor reaches 5,800 rpm the vtec activation light turns red from my vafc which means engagement but.... there is not engagment.. bogs a tad and definatly dont hear x-over either...can i get some help from you genious's out there

Check all the obvious stuff vtec needs to activate. Speedo working? Correct oil level? Any CEL's? Saw in another post you had coolant temp problems. VTEC won't work if your ECU detects your still in warm up mode.

no cels, it will reach full open loop after about the 10 min. warm up period then i car actually drive at proper operating temp. for a while untill the engine temp starts 2 drop and yes oil level are and VSS is working properly also...
