Doing an ls / vtec
I am mid way thru buying the parts for my ls / vtec and i was wondering if the following setup would be stable for a daily driven 95 integra LS:
B16A head, intake manifold, cams, gears, vtec solenoid and valve cover
USDM ITR pistons
(all necessary machining for pistons and head)
can you guys make any recommendations on the above.. and also what ecu should i use?.. gsr?
and one final question.. what about the knock sensor.. how are you guys addressing using or not using it?

Re: Doing an ls / vtec (cyberhide)
If you do use a GSR ECU, you need a knock sensor in that motor. It has been a pain in the **** for me. Check engine light is on 24-7. I hear good things about the P28 ecu remapped to fit DOHC properties. It is a good idea to get your LS bottom end balanced to ensure a longer lasting motor. Get ARP rod bolts and head studs too, they are worth it. You should have a reliable and peppy engine with that set up. It is similar to my set up, I love it.

Not a bad motor... but what cams? The cams are going to make that motor. You'll have decent compression, nice bottom end (with the afore mentioned rod bolts and balancing) but you'll need to let it breath.

Re: Doing an ls / vtec (I2secRex)
My setup is simular but I'm going with a GSR ECU. I can live with the CHECK light on... its annoying but oh well. I'm doing all the block and headwork myself.... got a few pics here..
