funny, you sound just a degree less ghetto than the previous owner of my hybrid EG (j/k). He used tie wraps to attach it...not smart. the transmission shop that rebuilt my tranny pointed it out. He looked a bit adement about me getting a proper cable before driving. to a responsible mechanic.
JDMsh1t sells brackets, i'm looking into getting one so that i don't have to bother with running the throttle cable...

lol, that sux. It's not hard to replace a throttle cable, I just wanted to check to make sure that I had too, and not deal with "tying my throttle cable in knots". lol

ok ok. i know its a ghetto way out but we had no choice. we had to get the swap done. and now i do have the correct cable so all is well.
and yea, i said i didnt recommend it. just telling ppl there is a way out if u really didnt want to buy or fab anything.

This is the linkage I made with some scrap steel I had laying around. The throttle body opens fully and there is not play in the bracket. I think when you can make something work without having to spend money, its a big plus

I used my D15 cable for my B16 motor. Fits perfect, but obviously I had to fab a bracket, since those two 10mm bolts that hold the cable onto the IM are shifted a few inches.
