Default d16y8 ecu for a h22 swap

Looking at doing the h22a swap in my 98 Civic hb but had a couple Q's.

I was reading a article on doing the swap into a 92-95 civic and they used the cx wir harness and added and lengthened wires but they still used the prelude ecu.

Is there a way to use my 98 d16y8 ecu and harness for a older jdm h22a?
