CRV/B17 or B18C/B17???....HELP!!!
I have a complete B17A DOHC VTEC(92-93 GSR) motor, YS1 tranny, and ecu. What would be preferable? A B20B/Z shortblock mated with the complete B17 topend, tranny. If I do the CRVTEC, I will keep the B20 crank b/c I don't plan on going forced induction. Or should I go with a B18C shortblock and the B17A topend and tranny. The only advantages I see with the B18C block is the high flow oil pump, VTEC oil squirters, and crank girdle all of which the B20 does not have (correct me if I'm wrong). Which one? Either one, I will throw in the Endyn 11.2:1 RWs and Endyn rods. Want to go all motor and hit high 13s on slicks, full interior with my 93 LS. And I want to do it with not much hassle. Looking at the skunk2 cams (preferably b/c of the price, can't afford jun or toda right now), ITR valve springs, Tit retainers. I also want to use the stock B17 IM and TB, RC cleaned and balanced stock injectors, B&M FPR and gauge. Can I use my stock P61 ECU with either motor?? Any opinions, comments, or suggestions are greatly appreciated? Thanks in advance for the replies fellas.

b18c shortblock will be more reliable in the long run, but a b20z will be more powerful.
Either one will get you to your 1/4 mile goals.
b20z will be more hassle.
