code 19 on a b16a manual swap, hesitated acceleration?
hey, I searched and could find an answer so if someone can help me I'd really appreciate it. I just put a b16a (obd1) in my 97 EK. The only code its throwing is 19 (automatic transmission lock up etc..) the car runs pretty good, but sometimes seems to hesitate when accelerating. Would having an automatic ecu on a manual engine effect the way my car runs? We messed with the timing, but I haven't perfected it yet, and everything else is fine. I'm hoping its just my timing, but if anyone has any input thanks in advance.

Hell yeah that **** will run different...I had an auto ecu and guess what....Topped out at 120 and 5th gear seemed non-existent...Do you have a square ecu, gold looking?? If so, thats a JDM ecu...

Since I heard HMO is a reputable engine distributor...Hell Yeah I would send it back and get the right one...****, you ordered a 5spd engine...A 5spd ecu isnt too much to ask for since thats what you ordered...The guy I got my engine swap from never sent me my right ecu, I had to pay outta pocket, so make sure you get the correct ecu...FREE OF CHARGE....
