BRAKES!
Need information on Civic/Integra brakes, and thought this might be the place to come.
I drive a '93 Civic EX Coupe. It comes stock with 9.3" front discs. The later EX's, specifically '94 and '95, came with 10.3" front discs. It is this size brake that the SCCA has specified when classifying the car for roadracing competition in ITS.
My question is this: Are the brake calipers the same? I know the '94 and up Integras also use a 10.3" disc. Do they also use the same caliper? Anyone have access to part numbers to check this?
(I know that the knuckles are different)
Thanks,

The calipers are different I don't have part numbers, but I did the swap on my 92 civic SI. You have to change the knuckle assembly to do it or else the caliper wont mount. If you get the calipers I recommend getting the larger master cylinder also because pedal feel will be terrible with out it. My pedal almost went to the floor with out it. I changed the MC to the larger MC and braking was almost instant.
Oh yeah and the Integra calipers are different (you can hardly tell) the only way I found out was when I tried to get pads for the integra and they wouldn't fit in the civic caliper.
Thanks for the help guys! I have plenty of sources for parts, just don't know which parts to get!
Typer00- I noticed from the b-hatch site that all your buds have '92-'93 Civics. Anyone with a '94 Si or EX to compare brakes to? The reason: the rules don't allow me to use Integra calipers, unless they're the same part number as the later Civics'!

Yeah that is what I was trying to get across my old civic the red one on the sight with the integra rims had 95 civic ex front discs, calipers, and MC. they are same disc size as integra's and the caliper is very similar but still different than integra. Also the black civic has the same swap, he actually took the ex parts off a old car before he sold it.
what about the rear brakes? I've got a 92 Civic Si, and I know that my front brakes aren't as big as the integra ones. I' not sure about the rear. Are the rear brakes different from a civic Si, and an Integra???
let me know.
thanks.
let me know.
thanks.
Bumnah- How big are your rear brakes? Can you measure them, or do you know the spec? I'm looking for 201mm discs, and not sure they were ever produced. I've never seen discs that small. Anyone?
