Default bouncing idle...

my idle is bouncing between about 1100 - 2000 rpm and I'm not sure what the problem really is. I thought it was the throttle cable at first, but even with careful adjusting it's still jumping like crazy... could it be spark misfiring, one of the belt fittings, a sensor not reading right, etc.? suggestions anyone??

before you go replacing a bunch of sensors check the vacuum lines i made the mistake of relpacing my tps and iac before checking the vacuum lines and sure enough it wasnt the sensors but a vacuum line leak

check the fast idle control valve if the white screw piece insde of it is loose tighten it all the way down and that might fix the problem

as a matter of fact, it was a small vacuum leak and the icv. i fixed it not too long ago and it runs just fine now. thanks for all the help!

I had the same problem...found out it was the throttle body gasket. I was using a B16 gasket (LS tb...B16 manifold) and air was leaking at the bottom.

Check you TPS, Air Idle or vacum lines. I ran to this similar problem before. Hope this helps.
