I'm looking into buying a new block online and suspicious of their legitimacy. I know that you can run a vin check on them if you have the vin number but if all you have is the number on the block what can you do? Is there any other way to check to see if it's stolen by the number under the block id code? I heard there is also a number on the block under the head? Is that one for identification as well? Any help would be great thanx.

If its JDM you don't need to worry about it. Otherwise I know a guy at the National Insurance Crime Bureau. He has checked a few motors for me and a couple of people I know.
