Default how can check if a block is legit with the serial number ?

I checked the VIN and it came out good, but the block is an OBD1, so there's no vin plate on it. I do have the serial number

TIA

May be you asked your insurance people to see if they know how to check it.

If it's an acura block, go to the acura dealer. If you have the vin of the donor car you got the block from then they can look up the vin. When they do that, the history of the car shows up on the screen and they can give you the engine serial number that belongs to that vehicle. Same goes for honda. Hope this helps.
