benfits of an overbored throttle body?
i was wondering what the benefits of an overbored throttle body are. i searched the archives and i found increased throttle response. but everything else was kinda conflicting. anyways, if it is worth the effort, i am going to get an ls or gsr throttle body for my d16y8 and maybe have it overbored 2mm. thanks.

uh...more air into the IM. Your best bet would be to port match everything - TB, & IM. You might get a few HP out of it.

ok- you need to port match the bigger tb to the intake manifold. for myself, i had a ls tb and an act 12lb flywheel put on my d16z6 at the same time and the car is like 10x more responsive. you dont have to push the gas pedal as much to drive normal for daily driving, and when i floor it the thing revs up much much quicker than previously. look around for the tb. i got one off the user sweet here on h-t for 45 bucks shipped, and im very happy with it
