Default Need some advice

Ok, I have posted about this before but now I have some new questions. First of all, I just got done putting a d16z6 into my 97' civic (d16y7 nonvtec). I had to replace the drivers side mount, but so far everything else has lined up good *knock on wood* I also bought an obd2-1 converion harness and a p28 ecu to use with this. Some of the plugs on my y7 harness dont plug into the sensors on the z6, so I found a z6 harness to use but here is the real question. Should I just splice the connectors into my y7 harness or try to use the entire z6 harness? It would seem easier to just splice in the connectors that wont fit, but I figured I should ask.
Also, since I have a y7 it wasnt wired for vtec, what wires do I need to run to make vtec work?

Thanx!!
