Bad Alternator
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=983681
I've searched and came to the conclusion I have a bad alternator. Yesterday I was cruising at like 72 and went to pass a car and just started slowing down and got passed by 4 cars in the right lane.......My car made it home but had no power. I'd drop into 2nd and RPMS would stay still at 5k. I just went outside to go to school and my car doesn't start. Other things like my headlights dimming and coming back at night while I accelerate and deccelrate have also happened.
It's got to be the alternator everything has run fine for the last 3 months since my swap. I have a OBD2 JDM GSR in my 2000 Hatchie.
Do I just go buy a new GSR alternator. And is it hard to replace going from the top of the engine bay?.....
::my car still won't start I had the battery tested and it was good and they fully recharged it....would there be anythin to knock around on....or is my best bet to take the alternator off and take it to be tested
::took the alternator out through the top which was a task. I went to advanced auto parts and they said they didn't have a connection to test it. Is this due to being a JDM engine. They entered the part # off the alternator and said they wouldn't even be able to order that alternator?......can I use a USDM GSR alternator?.....hopefully this is the problem I hope someone can test it.

That's bs. I'd like to know how pep boys tested my bad jdm h22 alternator. Have them get a GSR alternator. See if it is the same. If it isn't say screw you and order a rebuilt Honda (Denzo) they are the ****. I have one myself.
For that matter, you should probably say screw you and just by the Honda one first. I bought the pep boys version and it died after 2 months and gave me all sorts of weird electrical problems. I bought the Denzo and it worked perfectly.
