my car would turn off while i would be driving, than i would go to start it and the battery would be completely dead. it couldnt even be push started only jump start. so i changed the alternator today and jumped my car, it ran for 10 min and deid. i jumped it again and same thing, and again. i assume the alternator i just put in is shot too but it wasnt when i took it off my old motor. also, the alternator i just took off came with the swap which is a 2001 gsr with only 30,000 miles on it. i took the one i just took off today to autozone to be tested, they said they couldnt test any integra alternators. so my next step is to try another alternator. anyone know whats going on? also, is there a differences between any of the b-series alternators?

What do you mean they couldnt test your alt? Thats crap! Test your battery and make sure that your grounds and power wires all have really good connections. Just the other day the screw that holds the power wire on my alt. shorted out and the alt wouldnt charge the battery. Changed the screw and added a washer, good as new. You can test your alt by removing the batt cables and see if your car dies... Good Luck

Check to make sure you are getting power and ground in the proper places for you alt.

check your dizzy
