Default B20Z into 2000 civic questions

Hello everyone, just bought my first Honda, 2000 DX 5spd with a D16y7. I use it as my daily but considering a swap to make it more enjoyable. Thinking about a stock b20z mated with an SI/GSR trans. I know I need axles, I think an ls manifold, and some minor odds and ends for accessories since I want to keep AC/PS. My question is electrical related. Someone keeps telling me I need to swap to OBD1. I'm not so sure I have to since the b20z is OBD2 just like my car. Who's right and what if anything do I need to match the B20 to my harness. Thanks

You don't need anything on the electrical side, it's all the same, keep everything electrical from the B20 and use an LS manifold; it'll all plug in unless your B20 came from an automatic, then you'll have extra wires for shift solenoids.

That's awesome! Basically B20z, b16 trans, axles, shift linkage. Ecu? What's the easiest way to go about the ECU? Ls ECU chipped or chipped p28?

Why would you have to chip an ECU? It's a non-vtec engine, just use a stock LS P75 ECU.
