B20 swap help
I have some questions hopefully someone can help me. I have a 97 civic dx. I am swapping a b20 block with an 94+ ls head and intake manifold. Am i going to have to get a new ecu and if so what kind of ecu do i have to buy? b20 or an ls ecu? Could i just use my ecu cuz they both rev to 6500. My car is obd2 can i use my wireing harness for the swap or do i have to get an ob2-1 conversion? Im confused cuz people said i could use my stock ecu and wireing harness but they werent sure. I just need some hepl anything would be appreciated. Thanks

If you don't plan on crazy with modifications, i.e. anything more than i/h/e then go with a 97 CRV ECU. It will plug directly into your wiring harness and provide the correct amount of fuel for the motor. If you get an LS ecu then it will run lean and eventually hurt your motor if you don't find a way to get it more fuel. You could add more fuel by using an adjustable fpr, if you go with the LS ecu. efinitly do not use your stock ecu, it will run way to lean! Later if you want to do more radical modifications then you can get a OBD2 -> OBD1 conversion harness and reprogram the OBD1 LS ecu for your needs.
