b20 swap into 99 si
alright I need some help here because recently my car was stolen and it was returned with just the block, tranny & intake manifold--b16a2. Im thinking of just swapping in a b20b & exchanging the head for a b16 later on down the line but my factory wiring harness is all ripped & cut up so im wondering what wiring harness would be best to swap in the b20. If I want to go obd1 should I go with the factory harness & just get the conversion for a p28 ecu or an obd1 harness from a b16 del sol or older gsr?? I imagine the b20 is obd2 but im not sure. As you can see Im real confused help me out!!

Re: b20 swap into 99 si (blazin99si)
You must use a 99-00 Civic harness with your car, regardless of which motor you are swapping. If your harness is trashed beyond repair, I'd try to find another 99-00 Si harness since you are talking about going with a VTEC head later on. You could also use a 99-00 CX, DX or LX nonVTEC harness as well, the salvage the VTEC wiring and other needed misc. sensors from your trashed Si harness if they are reusable. Basically for a VTEC swap, it's best to use a Si or EX harness, but as I said, the DX, CX and LX will work as well with a little added wiring.
