Default LsVtec whats the real deal??

Ok i've been trhowing myself off lots of times, im thinking of building my LS all motor, non vtec, but then again, LS-vtec is way much better, and that the bottom end stories are just some myths, so whats the real deal.
this is my setup on my bottom end vtec or non vtec, will work for both.
B18b, just got to 100k miles, on 92 civic.
im taking out the block, and just ripping it apart, im taking the rords to get shot peened, and arp rod bolts, im also hot tanking the block, and making sure the block is good to go for whatever. PR3 pistons (b16) im also taking those to get renforced, so i can spray. just a 50 shot. at the end.
GSR water pump oil pump, and belt, thats with the vtc head, with LS head, everythign LS but new.
rod bearings and mainbearings, everything is getting done. if im missing something then let me know.
im using the P30 ecu stock 8200 rpm, no more then that.
VAFC and so on.
will the block last me or not, or is there still problems that im gonna be running, with vtec head,
LS all motor wont have problems, but vtec they say it will so whats the real deal with this ****.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP,
and which one will better??. is just something simple not out of this world. im also using a cable tranny (b16), i like because of short gears, right now i can beat Si and GSR with just the stock LS. . no top end but 1/4 mile race is the best!

seems like you're on the right track

ls/vtec is the real deal. i've got 2 friends including myself who have ls/vtec's. one of my friends drove from north dakota to mississippi about 3wks after we put it together. he stayed there for about 4mths and then drove from mississppi to seattle, wa. he never had any problems. i don't have any problems either and so does my other friend. approximatley 5,000 miles on mine and i have no issues.
