B20 block with Vtec head or stock GSR???
Would there be any advantages to switch bottom ends between a b20 and my b18c1?? I've heard the b20 can take more abuse but what would it do for power?? Would it be worth my trouble? I'm trying to decide between a hybrid motor or turbo. I want to stay fairly reliable. what does everyone think? TIA

Re: B20 block with Vtec head or stock GSR??? (GreenGSR)
Man i would just send your B18C block out to Golden Eagle and have them sleeve it to 85mm... It's displacement of 1.98L is bigger than a CRV's... The only down side to it is the little shorter stroke of 87.2mm as apose to the LS/CRV 89mm... It's all good tho you retain the GSR better R/S... I'm building a similar setup to this with 13.0:1 compression, Portflow head, and JUN 3 cams.... Latez

No it's not even that... My friend has a CRVTEC in his EK... it's got stock sleeves bored .50mm over with 12.5:1 JE slugs, stock rods, ARP rod bolts, Portflow GSR head, SK2 intake manifold, RC 310's, CTR intake cam, and an ITR ECU with VAFC... His best is a 12.62@107 all motor full interior... With the ITR rev limiter at 8400 he can still shift at 8300 and that's perfectly cool.... I love that motor but I just like GSR's better.... You got the girdle stock which helps with vibration at higher RPM, stronger rods and crank, better R/S, and you don't have to run that ugly *** oil feed line.... I don't have any problem with LS or CRVTEC's it just that I think a B18C is the way to go...
