b20 with b17 crank....Possible?
wats up all you crazy honda engine builders. the other day i was reading over some post and found "b16 crank in b20", now i now that is possible and i was woundering if the b17 is possible as well. Actually i no it is possible but as far as the rods and pistons go......i have no idea. so heres my question:
how long do the rods have to be?
wat size pistons and whatever measurments are need for them to fit?
does anyone make this destroking kit?
does it provide an extreme difference in horse?
BASICALLY
WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THIS SWAP TO HAPPEN FROM START TO
FINISH.
if anyone can help me with this i would deff. appriciate it.....THANKS

I wouldn't bother with all of this. Because people have proven that the gsr/itr rotating assembly can rev very high and remain stable.
You're going to have difficulty making power as high as the theoretical rpm limit with that higher r/s ratio.
If you have cams and a close ratio trans I'd say go for it.
Building an engine to have ridiciously high revs with stock 1-5 gearing is kinda worthless IMO, better to stroke imho.
