Re: b18c5 with ls tranny
until when took my ls trans off my type r and put a b16 trans on it he was like oh **** now i see, because the car doubled in speed no joke, the car was a pig with a ls trans on it...
long gears are good for one thing and one thing only, going slow as ****, and having a good cruising rpm in 5th on the freeway lmfao
i honestly believe that the gsr lsd trans is the best oem tranny for boost, not too short, not too long
anyways the car is going to be slow with a ls trans, have you drivin it yet?
if your dead set on it, atleast upgrade to a gsr trans asap it will be a world of difference trust me

Re: b18c5 with ls tranny
it doesnt matter, any tranny with long gears is going to slow you down, my friend had a dohc zc turbo and i told his *** forever to run a ex tranny but no he ran a dx tranny and it would always bog into 2nd for a bit then take off, he didnt understand **** about bettter gear ratios..

Re: b18c5 with ls tranny
Sounds like a good deal. I don't know what to say about the tranny, I'm using B16 w/ LSD installed and it is great til' I'm on the highway and I'm hitting about 7 grand on the tach! If only we had a sixth gear option for B series!!
