Default b18c into ej8 Q

i know i have to put in a new section of piping for the exhaust, but can I just get one w/ flanges on the ends, to just bolt it up between the header and the cat?
(My exhaust is stainless and I really dont want to weld a nonstainless section onto in.)

If you can bring your car to a muffler shop, they can lengthen a cat to fit as needed.

yeah but id have to get it there first and with my luck id get pulled over for it being too loud (the closest shop is far away). So i was just wondering if it was possible to get a pipe w/ flanges on it cut so I could just put it in there instead

You can always measure your stock cat, and measure the gap in the exhaust down the 1/4 inch, and take your cat to be lengthened. Then you install your modified cat.

Yes you can do that but it's really ghetto because you'll have the header flange, then the new flange meeting up to it and about 3" of pipe then another flange then the cat and so on.
If it matters that much about getting it to a muffler shop, go to a parts store and get an exhaust flex pipe and fill in the gap with that. Then just drive to the muffler shop but make an appointment beforehand. That way if you get pulled over on the way, you can tell the cop that you are on the way to the exhaust shop to have it repaired.
