D15b8 not cat!? exhaust question
got a cx, and grabbed some suspension and wheels....then test drove it, and the exhaust fell off. Classy. Didnt want to replace it till i got the swap so that i could just have everything figured out then and there but i had no choice.
Picked up some Worldsport 2 and bolted the rear section up only to find that there is no cat to bolt it up to. This means 2 things.
1. I have a muffler shop weld a flange onto the stock piping where the cat is supposed to be
2. get a cat.
My Questions
Will a cat that i get now bolt right up to a b16 swap.
Are all cats the same length...i.e. can i just pick up a high flow for my car, and use it with the b
Thanks
Eric

if you take a look at your exhaust manifold you will notice a little chubby in the piping.. following that is a little downpipe
basically the cx stock piping is a bit longer then the si because on the si the cat comes after the header, where on the vx/cx the head is really 3 pieces..exhaust mani, cat, downpipe

I bought an Si exhast mani and cat to mate up to my prospec exhaust. The cx/dx exhaust has the cat up high and a two bolt flange on the downpipe that would meet the catback. You need a threebolt flange like a normal undercar cat would. I'd say pickup a used ex/si header and cat for your car... should cost less than $75 total, or a good header and used cat.
