I had a B16B in my '92 CX. Quite an impressive engine for a 1.6L. I know I could have gotten a C1 for less but I liked the engine and bought it. My friend has the car now after a tree fell on it. I am in search of an ITR now. BTW the VTEC is hell on that engine. Makes a stock GSR vtec sound sick. Check out a few quick pics of the B16B in my car... just click on the link in my signature. Any more q's just shoot me a line....

b16b is a sick motor, loves roadcourses, hi revving racing... but not much torque compared to an ITR block, so if you think you might put a b16b in an integra, think again. Now, if you are putting it into a civic hatch or other lightweight chassis, then it might be a good match for you. Also, like with an ITR block, if you have another $2000 down the road you can always make a 2.0 liter mosnter out of the b16b bottom end

What do you guys think about a B16A Sir2 swap in a 92 Hatch??
hondamotorsonline is selling the complete swap for $2,350, is that a fair price?? I was thinking a B18C swap, but I don't think I'll have enough money to do other stuff....

Just as an FYI the B16B block is the SAME as an ITR or GSR. It is a P72 block. I am not sure whether B16A's are the same. I have read and heard that they are not the same. I do know that the B16B is for sure a P72 block 'cause I looked @ mine b4 I put it in. Sort of an interesting point to ponder on.

"there's no replacement for displacement"

(hint: go with the 1.8L, especially if you own a heavy car, ie, Integra)
