Hey guys so I bought a 1990 crx si with a b18b1 motor as a project car. It will run but when you first start it you gotta keep on the gas or else it will die. Then after about a minute it can run on its own but it runs all shitty. Then when you drive it it will misfire over 3000 rpm abductions backfire and die. Then it won't start up again. I checked the fuel filter, timing, and grounds so far.. anyone have an idea? Thanks

ecu......wen ever my ecu doesn't read my chip correctly it goes into limp mode n won't go over 3k rpm......so try another ecu p75 perferbly

I checked it and it does have the p75. But it could not be reading right?

Are you getting a check engine light?
If so, what codes?

also check to make sure you timing belt is on correctly.

Sorry i forgot to add it also has an skunk 2 70mm throttle body, and a skunk2 upper intake manifold. could this be a problem?

last time you cleaned out IVAC.
connections on the TPS intact from transfer or new one used?

mostly read the ecu and it should pin point the area to look at. your on a good start since it has everything to start

I just checked the ecu and it's throwing code 1 which is heated oxygen sensor. Could this be the problem?

try and check ur throttle position sensor.....test it

a bad o2 sensor will ruin your day!! I had one in my bseries ef and i would hesitate like crazy driving. and if thats the cel you need to start there. stop playing around guessing at playing with other sensors. Start with the cel.

Cleaned out the throttle body and started it up. Idle low and rough. After awhile the idle goes up to normal but still a little rough. Air/fuel is definatly off
