Default b18 swap

alright I need to know asap so I can get my car going. theres been some discrepancy. honda guy says use honda transmission fluid, my dad says you can use 5-w-40 motor oil. what can I use for my transmission? Its a ys1 from a 93 teg

I've owned a 91, 2 90s and a 93 Integra. Always used motor oil in the tranny. Watch out for the 3rd gear syncho on the YS1, almost every single one goes out, but if you're careful you can still drive it.

Manual trans you can use normal motor oil.

I absolutely hate Honda MTF. Always made my transmission feel like doo-doo.

Castrol GTX 5W-30 is what I've used.

Oh right, I forgot about Pennzoil Synchromesh. That was always good for me also. Its at any Autozone too

Use 10w-30 or 10w-40 until you can get to the dealership.

another question. the car cranks slow but wont start. tried two batteries, same issue

went to start up the b18a1 that I just swapped into my 89 civic and it slowly cranks but nothing else

Very well could be a tired starter, I've had it happen like that.
