Default B16a w/ OBD issues into a 5th gen

Is it really that much of a hassle to wire up a B16a2 from an newer Si and deal with OBD-2 that I should go with the SiR II motor or the B16a3?

I can get either or for the same price, and I was looking forward to gettting a fresher motor, but should I avoid OBD issues at all costs?

Thanks

A jdm b16a is easier to find out here, i dont know about where you are and a USDM motor will probably have more miles on it. As far as wiring it up, it will be about the same difficulty with either motor. I would go with the jdm motor because of higher compression.

What exactly IS the wiring problems with OBD-II though? I mean, I was under the impression that you slap on a harness during the swap and its all good... Its harder than that?
