Default B16a power? 200+

I have a b16a in an 89 crx. I want a daily driven sleeper. I figure if I can get 200 to the wheels it will be fast enough to line up with anything on the road and at least give them a run!!! I have been toying with the project ideas now for some time. I need some help in making the right choices. I considered the ls/vtec or cr-vtec. But, I'm worried that the engines will self destruct. I thought about just buying a ITR block from Acura and bolting on the B16a head. Of course any one of these motors will need good head work. But that just brings me to more questions. What would be the best cam for the applications? I'm having trouble deciding because I want to do it right the first time. OR!!! Do I just buy a prepared block from IB? Any thoughts????? Any help would really be appreciated!!!
I was wondering what the thought was on VAF-C's as a tuning source too. Or do I just go for something like Hondata?

it's going to take a lot of money to get to 200whp, your best bet would be to with some sort of forced induction (sc n2o or turbo) turbo mag. has been doing a 200whp build up on a gsr (n/a) and it's taking everything they got

200WHP is not easy and with a B16A, the lower displacement doesn't help. If your goals are 200WHP then you're going to need to build a nice LS/CRVTEC (then it's not a B16A anymore ) or you can turbo your B16A. I'm not saying that you can't build and tune a B16A to that power, but considering that you are going to have to nearly increase your WHP by roughly 70-75%, that's not going to be easy.

that's because they are idiots.. I don't read that rag, but if they can't get a GSR to throw 200whp easily then they are retards..

B16-200whp. You can do it... it is spendy.. kinda. You'll definately want everything out there that will make power. ITB, SMSP/Hytech/DTR/10-90 header, you'll want at least 11.5:1 compression, and good cams. I put 165whp with just JUNIII cams and a stock bottom so getting about 35whp wasn't much to go... especially if you figure that ITB/header combo would have added about 15-20whp tuned. that would have left 15whp to be had... compression and a little head work would have taken care of that.... HTH
