i hv heard and done LSvtec..but have u all heard of LS head with b16a bottom? few frens are talking about building one which i thought wasnt a good idea.. i think they just wanna do sumthin different(..and may be stupid.) but b4 i said anything wrong to them,i might as well ask on HT for opinions..

 

what a waste, loss of air flow, loss of power, a stock b16 has 160hp and ls has 140, that would just be like a single cam

 

Complete waste. You're using the worst of both worlds. Some guys have had good sucess getting power out of boosted and n/a non-btak B18's. B16's can make some good N/A HP, but you're limited with the displacement.

Your build (if you even managed to get the two together right) would consist of a small displacement block mated with a head limited to non-vtec cams only.

 

thats what i thought. well the LS im refering to is the B20b/z which is the twincam . i always thought that b20b/z head flow is crap compare to B16a cyl head. and the b16a block is limited to displacement.. so yeah,worst of both world. i will tell em not to waste their time with that combo.
