Default B16a with mods vs B18C1

I have been asking around to if this setup will work or is it best to just get the B18C1 and go from there. My current SOHC is not gettting it done. An article from Hondastyle suggested this:
B16A1 Cylinders bored and sleeved to 86 mm Forged rods and pistons, 12.5:1 cr B17A crank;
And have the following results:
1891cc of displacement 1.68:1 r/s ratio 180-190 hp

I am going to use a 92+ engine.

So far it seems the consensus is to get the B18C1 and forget about internal mods. Thanks for all input.

Sohc not geting it done huh? Im sure if you throw on a greddy kit/fmax/apexi/drag you will get the job done. If you want to go all motor you'r right though half the time you wont get the job done but people have and will continue to go all motor sohc. Just because we are single cam dont count us out pls. Also when you have a sohc and beat a dohc you feel a sense of "look at my little sohc now BizNitcH" Good luck mang

well if your gonna spend the money on building a b16 yes it will beat a stock b18c. but why? for what your gonna spend on building the b16 you could easily get a b18c and do some mods to it. if your going to stay NA i would get the b18c save some money and build it a little. FI i would say b16 and build it.
