Default B16a...12 second car?

Hey guys, i was wandering if it was at all possible to to make a 92-95 Civic Hatch with the B16a engine swap make it to the 12 sec slips.

Obviously a turbo charger wouldneccesary, and would be my choice, but what kind of rebuilding of the engine are we talking about here? and how much boost? Does anyone one know of any out there by any chance?

high performance axels, tranny? i'm not sure. I understand we're talking some serious power here, but is it possible? if not, what kind of engine swap would i need to start with to reach my goal? a heavier H22?

if all you want is a 12 second b16 eg then do your swap, intake/header/exhaust, and add a 75 shot of nitrous. Find yourself a decent set of slicks and that should do it.

i was under the impression it would'nt be that easy....

my brother is inthe process of a b16a into a crx si, he's expecting low 14's with header, exhaust, intake...

i don't see 75 shot pulling 1-2 secs of the slip.....with slicks...i don't know....just seems hazy....thanks though.

you can hit those times....b16a sir II, full cat back system, ys1 tranny w/lsd, cai,JDM 4to1 header... 13.4....so with 50-100 shot it is possible to hit the mid to high 12s...

92 civic si, b16a, s1 tranny kaaz equipped, greddy GSR turbo, full interior.

open down pipe with brand new 22" slicks = 13.43 @ 106 mph.

fat-*** fuel curve and stock boost (~7 psi)

i don't see why 12's isn't possible and yet, streetable.

That is not true. You can do it on a STOCK B16 that is turboed. Get a nice turbo kit, Fmax, Drag, or make a custom one, get some good fuel management (AEM EMS, Hondata), get it tuned for 12 PSI of boost, a nice set of street tires, or drag radials, and you should be set to run mid 12's to high 12's with a good driver.

yes it can be done thats my goal. turbo b16 with stock bottom end all i takes is tuning and good driving. i will be using slicks

Default 12's is very possible

MY EF (with B16a) aem intake, open header (stock exhaust mani), MSD digital6, wires, external coil, fuel pump, and 75 shot wet nitrous system. I hit a 13.2 @104mph 2.0 60 ft. on 13" bogarts with a 3rd gear miss shift. I think 12's is very possible with a B16a in a hatch.

SOHC z8 stock engines in stipped hatch(s) run low 12's with slicks and >75 shot... BOO YEAH!
