Anyone help me with CEL-
I keep getting a CEL 9 and its driving me ******* crazy? I have taken this thing apart and reset the timing about 5 times now just to make sure everything is perfect-
I am using the same distributor and ecu that was in my eg- (its now in an ek). The only verying factor is the wiring harness which i have also checked, everything is good? Anyone know what could be up?
I have also ohmed out all sensors and they read good- I just can't figure this **** out?

This is a typical CEL that relates with distributor bearing failure, a very common problem with older distributors, especially EG's. Do you have another distributor that you could change yours with? I can't say for sure because I don't know or haven't seen your setup. But check the shaft for excessive play and the wiring for any loose or bad connections.

I worded that poorly-
I had my b16 in an eg, i kept the obdII dizzy and soldered on an obd1 plug.
I just got an EK and swapped everything over to it from the EG, soldered the obdII plug back on the dizzy and i am running the p28 with an obdIIa -> obdI harness. I am getting two CEL's a 9 and a 42 (o2?) neither of which i am having luck finding

There is no code 42, was that a typo? Did you mean Code 41? If so, Code 41 is the heater circuit for the O2 sensor. It sounds to me like in the process of reinstalling/rewiring something wasn't done right. Whether there is a bad connection or possibly something not hooked up at all, I would start troubleshooting from the sources: distributor and O2 and work your way back.
It was 41 sorry. I have double and triple checked- using continuity to verify i had the right wires and all- problem is probably something simple- I am going to try a friends dizzy, my shaft does have alot of pley in it-
This has been a pita- the EK was auto so the harness was a pain in the dick- ( iconverted it to 5-spd also.

hmm...code 41.
Perhaps you should trying running a new 02 sensor. That will probably fix this code.
code 9...
I suggest you try another distr. as VTECVillian suggested. Or double check to make sure you cam timing is right. If you're off a couple teeth you'll get a check light for cylinder 1 problems. But it sounds more distributor related, since you've soldered & unsoldered the distr. plug a couple times. Perhaps you resoldered a wire in the wrong pinout location, no?
