Default Check Engine Light(EK connector instead of EG)

I just bought my car, it is a 1995 Civic LX. I am trying to find out why it failed emissions (see other thread) so I went to see if it had any codes that hadn't caused a CEL to come on. I go out and find that I have a blue EK connector instead of a Grey EG connector.. So Im confused, How do I know what motor I have? Why would I have a EK connector instead of an EG connector? The previous owner knows nothing about cars so he didn't change anything! Also, when I jumper the connector my CEL comes on and stays on and my SRS light flashes repeatedly...

This is the engine Could you guys tell me what motor it is? Or why the jumper under the kick panel is EK and not EG.. My vin is 1HGEG8653SL******

what do you mean by EG connector and EK connector? on obd1 cars you pull the code by jumping the service connector with a paperclip or piece of wire. see the sticky at the top of the forum
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/how-pull-cel-d4-srs-abs-codes-code-lists-1901557/

also there is no need for two threads

Sorry for both threads, it was just 2 different subjects.. In this thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1901557 it shows the blue service connector as an ek 96-00 is blue and EG as Civic 92-95 is gray.. Well mine is the blue connector with the brown and black wires...
