All motor or Turbo, which one should I go for?
I am stuck in the middle of what I should do. I am about to build my motor up, but don't know if I should raise the compression or drop it and run boost. I have about $2500 to work with on parts alone, the labor is free. With that amount of money should I build the motor to take 12 psi of boost or build it to rev past 10,000 rpm? All motor, I think, sounds real good, but the blow off valve of a turbo is nice too. I want to keep up with the imports like always, but I don't want to limit myself. I know a turbo boost controller will allow me to raise the boost, all motor is just set at one point. If I were to build the motor by dropping the compression for boost, how much slower would I go with a 9.0:1 ratio? This is all on a B16.

How far will $2500 take me on the build up? Not including the price of the turbo. Also, lets say I have wholesale prices. How much slower will my car be with 9.0:1 before I get the turbo?
