Default Is there a way to tell if a PG7 ecu is auto or manual by looking?

http://www.zdyne.com (tech section) has pics of OBD1 and 2 and tells you how to determine auto or manual by looking. Is there a way to know on an OBD0 ecu?

when looking at the barcode, look at the last three digits or letters
such as : 37820-PG7-A50 or 37820-PG7-901
5 is annotation for auto tranny as is 901 (also auto)
