98 B20b4 in 93 hatch
I've been looking for hours and cannot find a solid answer. I've been told a few things and cannot find a perfect match to my question. My question is; For a 98 obd2 b20b4 non vtec stock engine with arp headstuds that goes in a 93 hatch (obd1) what kind of ecu would be most beneficial for performance?
p28 obd1/2? = the ability to easily switch to vtec from a non vtec engine through the same ecu.
or
p75 obd1/2? = a highly common ecu for the b20b engines.
I just want what will really run the best. Would a simple tune on a p28 ecu map to the b20? or would i have to look for a different ecu?
I've been stuck on this for hours and cannot find an answer so I believe you guys will help me out.

So what is currently done to you'r engine now. there's no need to "tune" as you describe a stock b20V(if that's what you'r planning). drop it in obd2 to obd1 with a jumper and go with a p28

buy a conversion harness and buy a chipped ecu with a basemap for your setup.... a p75 is for an LS b18.... im pretty sure if would be more beneficial in the long run to have a chipped ecu so it could be tuned later for any new mods or turbo....p3G is what the B20b ecu is which you can get obd1 or 2.. most are auto it may be hard to find a 5 speed crv ecu but if you buy a obd1 p3g ecu u could always jumper j11 or j12 which ever it is and turn the ecu into a 5 speed ecu for your needs.
