97 civic/h22a swap/chipped p75 ecu - in limp mode with no speedo
I have a 97 civic ex with h22a swap with chipped p75 ecu. I have no speedo and the car won't go over 3500 rpms it still drives and idles fine and has no cel so I'm not sure if the speedo sensor would cause this or what it would be. Any ideas would be appreciated

Re: 97 civic in limp mode with no speedo
If you are sure there are no CEL codes, then the speedometer is bad or the speed signal wire to the speedometer is broken or disconnected.
Have you checked whether the CEL bulb was removed from the cluster?

It was throwing a code 9 but was a loose dizzy wire now cel is clear but no speedo and no rev past 3500. Would a bad speedo or speedo sensor throw the motor or tranny into limp mode?
