94-95 OBD-I motor in a 00 teg..possible?
I'm having a grand old time trying to find a 96+newer obd-II gsr motor.
My question is it possible to use an older 94-95 obd-I motor into my newer chasis?
is there some kind of conversion I could do to make the 94-95 gsr motor into obd-II?
If its not possible , might have to splurge and get a 96-97 b18cr

there's a few factors that you haven't told us about yet. which engine harness will you be using? what accessories will you be using, ie. alternator, starter, etc. also, you never want to go from obd1 to obd2.

"what accessories will you be using, ie. alternator, starter, etc."
-well its gonna be a daily driver so I would need all the accessories.
-what would you do in my shoes? I can find a 96+ gsr but its alot more loot and rarer....and at almost the same price i can snag a type r at hmotors.

-I didn't know that i had to buy a wiring harness?

Just go with an OBD1 engine. You will need a obd harness adaptor to make instal a plug and play for the ecu, but many people do this swap do to the ease of reprogrming the computer for fine tunning.

It's a direct replacement pretty much, depending on which OBD version you want to run it as will determine the amount of extra work needed. If you want to go OBD1 then you'll need an OBD2B to OBD1 ECU adapter and the OBD1 ECU. Wiring will be determined by what harness you use. If you use an OBD1 engine harness it will be pretty much plug and play under the hood, if you use an OBD2 harness then you will need to rewire the alternator, distributor and injector plugs.
You can also run the motor as a full OBD2 setup as well. You will need to change the oil pump to a US OBD2 pump. If you still have your old harness, ECU, intake manifold and accessories from the original motor, just swap those on and it will be nothing more than a direct replacement after changing those parts.
