1500 rpm jumping up and down.????
i just did a swap on my ek, its pretty much a si swap but i have a gsr block with a 99 si head, the block is a 95 b18c1 with 99 internals and i'm using a chipped p28 as for now the car is running ok just the only problem is when it hits 1500 rpm the idling goes up and down and i would have to add gas to alleviate the problem. what could this be any help would be useful thanks.

I have the same problem except it idles at 1500rpm. When I first put on the head, it idles at 1500. Then I plugged in the ITR ECU and it jumps up and down from 1300-1,600 constantly. My friend told me it might be that the ECU is giving out too much fuel/air. It doesn't really bother me anymore, but I would also like to know how to make it stop.

I believe the problem might be the IACV. I have the same problem, but it's only occasional and onlyon start up..after about 30 sec. - 1 min. it's fine.

It might be the sensor just right under the throttle body where the coolant go through. Remove the whole sensor. There's a piece of metal plate with 2 screw hold it in. Inside there is a white plastic screw, it might come loose.

Take off your intake and inside the throttle nody there will be 2 holes plug them one at a time with ur finger and if the bad idle stops when u plug either then the sensor that the hole goes to is the one that is acting up.( the Same thing happend to me)
