Default 00 y8 head swap on 00 y7 block

Ok I've been doing some reading and on the 99-00 y8 heads theres air injection and everyone saying you have to plug the holes. Or it just the y8 IM whichever. But if im using the complete 00 y8 head and manifold then do I need to plug the holes? I just ordered my obd2b to obd1 jumper and I'm getting a p28. It's a auto y8 head but I'm just gona use my y7 tb with the y8 rotor. My hatch has 176k the y8 head has 124k. Just put a stage 1 clutch in yesterday has new lcas subframe brace seibon c.f. duckbill. Skunk2 pro series coilovers b&m dual bend and few other odds and ends. I'm gona eventually get a y8 trans will my clutch still work with the y8 trans? The question bout the air injection holes and the clutch is all I really need to know and ill have everything I need. Thanks.

Can’t use the your Y7 or Y8 throttle body with the P28 due to the 3 wire IACV. I’d try to source a 96-98 5 speed Y8 manifold and throttle body. The clutch will work fine.
