Default 00 p73 on my 99 si no worky

Hey all. I recently have been trying to upgrade to a itr ecu on my si. I have basically a type r motor in it and I want to match the ecu with the motor (currently running si ecu). So I bought a 00 p73 ecu and plugged it into my car, no go. I was talking to InVtec and he was saying something about the pinouts being different on civics and integras. Even if they are the same year? I am comparing OBD2B to OBD2B why is there a problem? If anyone has some info that would help me on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx all.

Immobilizer? The thing in the ECU that stops it from starting if the key doesn't match the ECU, I believe.

That would be the problem.
