The hugely overshadowing contributor to fuel economy is throttle position, rpm has very negligible effect. I am a mechanical engineer and design/test large-scale engines. If you want proof look at the injector duty for rpm and then for different vaccuum points on hondata/uberdata/crome.

Whoa, chill brotha. We're just trying to be politically correct by saying that changing to a higher ratio will change your gas mileage. I think we agree, either the change is minor or major - everyone's paradigm on .50 or $5 at the pump is in their own opinion given their personal circumstances.

let say we put stock vs. with some after market final drive with same driving... who you think will put out more gas milage? ...
