This question may be the reason why the S2000 is wrong for you. The S2000 is out of the league of ANY civic. Swapped, wire tucked, coiloverd...WHATEVER. It's a civic.

I love civics. I use them as DDs.

I would never trade my S2000 for a civic no matter how "awesome" it was. My friend was selling his S2000 and some kid offered him a real CTR as a trade. We both just laughed.

If you go drive an S2000, you'll get what I'm talking about. The problem is that with that attitude, you may be buying the S2000 for the wrong reasons.

The K swapped civic will be faster. The S2000 is better in all other departments.

If you dont realize that the S2000 is a step above any civic, you'll fail at S2000ness.

Edit: However, dont let the guys that have been picking on you discourage you from giving the S2000 a test drive. Give it a chance, and you'll forget all about your civic. There are, however, some weirdos that keep their civic as their
"nice" car and the S2000 as their lowly DD. I just dont think they get it.

The S2000 is more sophisticated and classy than a civic. It doesn't scream "HEY, I'M 16!!!!!! IM GOING TO CUT YOU OFF NOW!!!!!!!!!!". Although, with more and more ricers being able to afford S2000s, that is changing.

If you do buy the S2000, buy it for the right reasons. Just remember at all times that it's NOT a civic.

Rotas and other fake parts dont belong on it, IMO. You can't go with the no name shopping list of parts that just look like other parts and have a respectable S2000.

ex: A civic with a mAd TyTe CTR style lip (unpainted) can look decent....and most civic owners wont give you any **** for it. An S2000 with some fake *** lip will look cheap and tacky....I will DEF. make fun of you for it. I'm sure Graffiti and S2KILLA will too.

it's a heavy 4 cylinder convertable. if you crash you can't have it up the next event. unless you're rich.

reguardless of what most people like to think, a k-swap will just trash an s2000, quater mile, with enough suspension mods around a track.

then again it's not a daily driver and it should never be.

performance wise, if you don't care driving a shell with a truck motor in it. then go for it.

also with the phrase.........it's still a civic............. it still lays down 11 second 1/4's (k swapped)

barretjackson- it's still a piece of junk 30k camaro........... that goes for 120k

honda s2000- it's still a piece of junk, honda.

the s2000 is not a rich man's car, no matter what any of these guys say. an s2000 rightnow goes for 11k~20k.

about the price for a scion tc. it's just an image thing these guys want.
