well what car do you like better?? all around obvioulsy the s2000 is a sports car but i know a lot of people that would rather have a civic than an s2k so its all about personal preference...you can do your research and find out that for 15k you can have one bad *** civic but it has to be done right or reliability goes right out the window...your going to get a million people say "do a k swap" or "the s2k is a better all around car" and so on but it doesnt matter what we think, its gonna be YOUR car not ours....if you want my opinion, do a k swap, keep it mostly stock, do a 5 lug converion with a nice suspension and wheels, and pocket the rest...you dont want to dump all your money into somethin that you may hate so do little bits at a time...but hey, thats just me

Well, it seems like you have a decent amount of cash. You could probably build whatever you want into a track car (be it a coupe or a hatch, of whatever generation) and then have a beater for driving on snowy, salty roads. Or make a hybrid, plenty of people track their DD. Hondas are pretty sweet in that regard.

Re: (vtecb18c)
I had the same choice. To me it means a lot more to build it. You can have a perfectly reliable, fast and fun car if you do a good job and buy quality stuff. An S2000 has way more potential but its much more fun to have a built car that you know you did yourself. Making something different out of it. Plus insurance is less, cost of ownership, even if it gets stolen your still way better off.
