Default Oil Question

Hey guys im having a big problem. I just changed the oil on my car. Ive driven the car about 60 miles since the oil change a few months ago. i used Royal Purple and a Fram oil filter. Now i decided to check the oil out of boredom and there is almost no oil in the car. I checked the drain plug and there is no oil around the plug. Im losing my mind here trying to figure out where the fack my oil went. There is a slight leakage around the valve cover gasket, but my car has always had that. The motor hasent ran since about 5 months b4 the oil change. If anyone has any help or info that can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

now you said you drove about 60 miles before realizing that the oil you had put in the engine was low... low to the point of not showing on the dipstick. then you add a quart and "RIPPED VTEC in 2nd / 3rd Gear" ???

WTF would you do that... beating the engine after knowing that it had low oil is really f'ing stupid... If i was you i would do a compression test on all 4 cylinders. I had the same thing happen to me and #2 piston rings were gone. I had 130psi on that cylinder as opposed to 230+psi.

Good luck!

The car takes almost 5 1/2 qt's of oil, just so you know. Also when are you measuring the oil? You should start it and let it warm up then check it a few min after you shut it off. Try switching to another oil, what are you using now?

REALLY NOW? it didn't occur to you that when you drove the car that there's oil circulating in the motor? you check the oil level after the car's cooled down..

I ran the car today and checked the oil the level was fine. Idk i guess i didnt take into account the oil circulating the engine needed a lil time to fall back to the oil pan lol. I had a noob moment. Mods please lock thread.
