if my car was a 100% track dedicated vehicle i would be too, but it isnt. currently, it's my play toy. random noises don't bother me, but I would rather it look nice and rattle than be gutted and rattle

doubt it...i was roasting SS camaros and vettes, and i took down a couple turbo'd DSM's....210 all motor, 4.7 gearing, and tipping the scales at about 2100lbs....thing was a friggin rocket

30k shouldn't be a problem. don't really think they're supposed to have a life expectancy and you would be better off checking periodically (every 10k). I think it was only before when Ti retainers were still relatively new to the tuning world that they had a shelf life. Just check to make sure they're not cracked, the valves are still sealing etc. and you should be OK.
and yeah boots, SC61 on a 2.4L AEBS H23VTEC. if I had the Hondata S300 back then, 600whp woulda been no problem, but the real problem would be getting traction from a dig would be another story.

just go with whatever the rest of the valvetrain setup is. if you have honda valves/springs, go with honda retainers. if you have supertechs, stay supertech. im sure theres some labcoat guy who put the combo together and tested it

im doing some pondering cause my motor already has 108 on it and i wana do the bc cams figure might as well do springs and retainers or atleast retainers. my motor is one of the earliest ones that have he banjo bolt problem gota fix that **** too
