it's not oxidation of the metal... When titanium heats up, it turns blue. You should know that, if you work at a welding shop.

no really it doesnt turn blue when you heat it up if it doesnt come in contact with oxygen..

Discoloration on titanium is not a problem by itself and is more of an indicator that there might be a problem.

The welds are silver, just because the area around the welds are slightly blue, it doesn't affect the actual weld itself.

The area around the welds are just superficial oxidation, whether for cosmetic effect, or just being easier to weld that way.

The welds on my Amuse exhaust are top notch...No discoloration near ANY of the welds, and a very nice silver coloring. I can provide pics if needed.

agreed. the hks exhaust is one of the best sounding exhausts.... and a test pipe is one of the best cheap mods you can do on this car.
