Default VAFC setup.

My friend just bought a VTEC controller used. He needs to know how many sensors in/out to program. It is a 94 with an H22A. OBD1 (obviously).

thanks for any help.

cool. that's what we figured. thanks.

However, for some reason, his MAP reading is -.08 PSI at WOT. what the hell is that all about? Is that normal? I figured it would read 0 Psi.

Intake, Throttle body, intake manifold, they all determine the amount of vacuum in the IM at WOT.

0 psi is optimum, his IM is just not able to keep up with the needs of the engine there.

those readings dont make any sense. Psi cant be in a %. It's like saying your tires are at 35% psi.

When you're at idle, the vacuum should be very high. Like around -11 to -12 PSI. -14.7PSI is absolute vacuum....that's not really obtainable since there's always an open passage of air to the engine....and other reasons.

He has a newly installed SKUNK2 PRO SERIES manifold.

Maybe an electrical problem? Faulty MAP sensor? Dammit! lol.

I'm very unsurprised that he still has vacuum in the IM. I'll leave it at that.

You should be getting as close to 0 vac as you'll ever get at WOT and low RPMs. As RPMs rise expect to see more vac as the intake system tries to keep up.

I think I remember Jdogg saying he was getting decent amounts of vac with all the 3 manifolds he tested.
