gt35r survey
i just got my car tuned today and i wanted to see what the average output is among the rest of you with a gt35r setup. i know each setup is different but the object is to determine what is the "norm". and if you can, post up what you made at 20psi on race gas. thanks.

Why?? You shouldn't have wasted your money on a GT35R if you aren't going to use it. You aren't even getting your money's worth yet....

Re: gt35r survey (Schister66)
I have 2...
I made 538hp and 460tq on the .82/.70 at 27-28psi
I made 472hp and 440tq on the .63/.60 at 24psi
fully built 84mm
Thinking of selling both and my full-race t3 topmount to go bigger (4088r or 4294r)

Re: gt35r survey (92HB_HB)
here is my dyno.
it's just about 21-22psi. i have a metric boost gauge so i think that's what it's at. this is on C16. not sure how much timing the tuner added. it's also a 84.5mm vtec motor. what do you guys think?
btw, it was my first time dealing with mtber, john vega, and he was pretty cool. i had no problems and i would recommend him for any tuning needs.

that thing is making power really early but for the boost that its seeing, u should be making more power. whats the spec's on your 35R. i would have tuned on pump gas for that power

Re: gt35r survey (boosted k20)
Seems to be pretty low at 20 psi, tq drops off really early. What hot side were you guys using, what cams, etc. Here is an 84mm gsr @ 26psi with a .82 housing

Those numbers up top seem kinda low except for synapses' graph. I made 468whp with a blowzilla .63ar on pump gas and the 35r is more efficient. That was on 18.5psi on a gsr head that i ported on my dorm room at wyotech with a dremel and stock gsr cams/tb.

Re: (Schister66)
it's a gt3582rle. e cover. the numbers up top may be lower since i'm using a tubular log style "shorty" manifold. might also explain why the power comes on a little sooner too. the vtec engages at 4400. the motor seems to like it that low. smoothed out the powerband a lot by being that low. the power doesn't come on as fast or abruptly. i haven't a clue how to tune the car so i don't know what the timing looks like. the air/fuel ratio is at around 11.7-12.1. maybe need more timing?

Re: (93supercoupe)
thats pretty fn horrible... look how rough the graph is even with smoothing on 5..
just to compare, my buddys 84mm b16 with a gt3071r made 466hp/370tq at 20lbs.
id expect 450-500 depending on what cams you have and if there is anything done to the head

I agree. The setup was only making 275whp off the wastegate at 9-10 psi.
On 1 bar the setup was only making 343whp & 256wht.
The setup was tuned on hondata s200. I would have expected far better numbers & a slightly smoother reading from such a setup.
I could not pinpoint the problem on the dyno.
I would suggest a leakdown/compression test along with an inspection of the turbo/charge piping etc.
A/f ratios were 11.5-12.0:1 and ignition timing was where it needed to be

No. I would do like John Vega said. Compression and leak down test it. What cams do you have? Do you have cam gears?

If I recall, the vehicle had camgears which I left zeroed out.
The cams are supposedly b16 cams.
