Tranny Problems!!!
First some background:
I had two noticeable problems with my tranny
1. The car would shudder sometimes when slipping the clutch (i.e., starting from a stop in 1st gear)
2. 5th gear would occasionally grind (when shifting from neutral, on the freeway)
I figured it was just signs of an old tranny/clutch, so I didn't worry too much. Well, the other day, I started having REAL problems, so I need some help to diagnose what's wrong. Here are the new symptoms:
1. Shuddering when slipping the clutch has gotten worse
2. I have to rev-match EVERYTHING
That's right, it's like I have no synchros...I have to let the revs drop about 1k when upshifting, and I have to rev about 1k for downshifting, just for it to go in gear...so that's with the clutch in. At a stop, with the clutch in, there are no problems, no binding or anything. Taking the car OUT of gear is no problem, no binding or anything. It's just moving from Neutral to gear that I have to rev match.
Basically, I need to know if this is just an inconvenience, or something that will eventually render my car undrivable. I have a H22 swap with new tranny & clutch waiting to go in. I need to know whether I can drive my car like this until I'm ready to drop the new motor in. I would really appreciate the advice.
The clutch grabs still, so I'm thinking I either lost ALL synchros, or there is some problem with the throw-out bearing, or spring....help me out guys!!

What kind of car do you have??
I have a problem with my car right now, 92 Lude Si 4WS. It locks me in, and sometimes out of gear.
When the shifter gets stuck in 1st gear....with the clutch in....the car will roll forward like an auto tranny car. I tried changing the clutch master and slave cylinders. That didn't fix a thing.
My car shudders when letting the clutch out starting off in 1st too.
I just said F-it.....and decided to get an H22 swap. Picking it up in 2 weeks....hopefully

Does anyone else have any ideas what could be causing this??
I looked through my records from the previous owner and I don't think he EVER had the tranny oil changed. The car now has 157K miles. Should I be cautious when changing the tranny fluid??
I hope this is the reason because getting my H22 swap has been A LOT harder than I thought.

Recently my clutch has started to stick when engaged. like i press the clutch in and it wont come out. and then i can stop and pull it out and it usually seems to come out. any idea whats causing this??
See, that's the thing. With mine, I have to switch the car off....wait a few seconds...then it will come out of gear.
I am thinking that either the pressure plate is bad or the tranny is bad because the guy never had the tranny oil changed.
